Ravi Hehar MA, MBBChir, FRCS(ORL-HNS)
Mr Hehar has over 20 years experience in ENT. He is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Epsom & St.Helier University Hospital NHS Trust where he is the Clinical Lead for the department. He has clinics for adults and children. He studied medicine at Cambridge University, gaining a Masters degree in medical sciences. After completing his clinical studies at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, he undertook higher surgical training and was awarded the FRCS in general surgery.
Subsequently, he undertook higher surgical training in ENT at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, and the Leicester and Derby Royal Infirmaries. He was trained by some of the leaders in the specialty, obtaining the FRCS in ENT surgery and subsequently the Intercollegiate FRCS (ORL-HNS).
He was awarded the prestigious TWJ Fellowship to the University of Toronto under the mentorship of Professor John Rutka and Professor Michael Hawke, leaders in the fields of ear disease and sinus disease respectively.
He sees all general adult and paediatric otorhinolaryngology including:
- Sleep apnoea
- Recurrent tonsillitis
- Adenoid disease
- Glue ear
- Diseases of the nose and sinuses including functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and allergy
- Ear drum repair
